Crochet Instruction Offered at Library

The Wilkinsburg Public Library may offer things you are not expecting. For example, for the last several months, staff member Frankie Turner, has been offering crocheting classes.

Frankie’s mother taught her to crochet when she was nine, and she’s been at it ever since. Her students report loving her oneon- one instruction and her encouragement to “learn something new.”

Classes are held at the Main Branch (in the Borough Building) from 2–4 p.m. on Mondays, and at the Eastridge Branch from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturdays. Frankie’s expertise is free, but students must bring their own crochet hook and a ball of cotton yarn (the cost of both is about $5).
