Weatherization Program Available to Wilkinsburg Residents


Wilkinsburg homeowners or renters can now apply for the Action-Housing Energy Weatherization program. One-day registration will be held at the Hosanna House on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.
This weatherization program provides improvements to most home, condo or apartment dwellings that qualify at no cost to the homeowner or the renter. The program covers a home energy inspection, insulation, repairs of damaged windows, weatherization of doors, a water tank inspection, a safety-check of the furnace, and more. Applications and inquiries can be made at 412-281-2102 ext. 2056, by asking for Nikki or Floyd.
The Neighborhood Restoration Subcommittee of the Weed & Seed Program, in collaboration with Action Housing of Pittsburgh, brought this Allegheny County program to Wilkinsburg.

Eligibility is determined by household size and gross (before taxes and deductions) income:

Only one application can be submitted per residence within any fifteen-year period at current address.
