LIHEAP is Pennsylvania’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program that helps low-income individuals pay their heating bills through various grants. You can get a LIHEAP application at your local county assistance office or by calling the LIHEAP hotline at 1-866-857-7095. The sooner you get your application in the sooner you can get some help, so don’t delay!

Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. has the key to a safe house and wants to give it to you through their Neighborhood Safety Program, which is currently accepting applications. This program offers free security and safety hardware for all Allegheny County residents who meet certain income guidelines. For example, a family of four can earn up to $44,000 a year and still be eligible. You could receive deadbolt locks, smoke detectors, door peepholes, house numbers, carbon monoxide detectors and lifelites and even have them all installed for FREE! If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment please call (412) 392-6467.
