Wilkinsburg Schools Celebrate Meeting State Performance Requirements Again

Just under 300 WSD faculty, staff, and board members gathered on August 27 to celebrate achieving state performance requirements for a third consecutive year. The District met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) according to the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) exams. The District coordinated a celebratory cookout to recognize the collaborative efforts of the entire school system.

“We are one step closer to achieving our goal to be the Number One urban school district in the state,” said Archie D. Perrin, Jr., WSD Superintendent. “Together we can make positive changes and truly impact the lives of our students,” he added.
